My wife and I recently purchased a newly constructed log home, located in Maggie Valley, NC and built by Hintzman Homes, Inc., which is also located in Maggie Valley.  Built as a spec home, this residence epitomizes the structural integrity, exterior appeal, and interior design elements we would have insisted upon had we been involved in its design and construction from start to finish.

Having been through the residential construction, remodel, and design process many times over the past twenty-three years, my wife and I have learned that the ultimate quality of the finished product is fundamentally a result of the integrity and character of the builder.  In this regard, Harvey, Jeff, and Donna Hintzman have instilled in us such an extraordinary degree of confidence in their commitment to honor their word and deliver on their promises, we are convinced that a handshake from them is as good as, or better, than many written contracts we have entered into over the years.

On the lighter side, when is the last time a builder called you and gave you up-to-date weather reports, knowing you were driving over 500 miles to move items to your new home and then, once you arrived, actually helped you move the items into your new home?
